Vivian Dahlin, I cannot thank you enough for the efforts of Operation Dog Rescue to bring Zoey home. I appreciate everything you did to assist in her return. Though ultimately we decided it would be best for her to return to her previous owners, I can rest easy knowing she is being loved and well cared for and not out roaming the streets! Thank you again! For anyone considering using Operation Dog Rescue to bring home your beloved dog, I highly recommend her! Two paws up!!
“Over the Labor Day weekend, me, my 12 year old son, his friend and our rescue lab Ozzie headed to Seabrook for a fun weekend! Everything was going great until someone left the door open and Ozzie took advantage and escaped. We have only had Ozzie for a few months and are the sixth owners she has had…and now we know why! She does not run away, but instead stays within eyesight but refuses to come close enough to grab. For six hours the boys (and some nice and helpful neighbors) tried to get her back inside, but to no avail. As it was getting dark, I called a phone number the local PAWS chapter had given me for Vivian…and boy was that the best call I ever made. Vivian was at our door in less than an hour and in the dark she proceeded to patiently gain Ozzie’s trust until she was finally able to entice her into a neighbor’s back yard where we were able to put her leash back on. It was amazing to watch! The key word is patience (which the boys and I had lost three hours in!). Needless to say, it saved our vacation and taught us a good lesson! Now Ozzie travels with a rope attached at all times…just in case! If she manages to elude us again…you can bet we will give Vivian a call!”
